Position Summary
The Operator’s Assistant will support production operators in the day-to-day operation of extrusion and manufacturing equipment. This role involves ensuring machines run efficiently, materials are supplied, and finished products meet quality standards. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist machine operators with setup, operation, and monitoring of extrusion and related production equipment.
- Supply raw materials to machines and ensure continuous production flow.
- Inspect products for defects and assist with quality control checks.
- Package, label, and prepare finished products for shipment.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and communicate issues to the operator or supervisor.
- Follow all safety guidelines, company policies, and standard operating procedures.
- Support the operator in meeting production goals and minimizing downtime.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Prior manufacturing or production experience is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends, as required.
